Texture
You may have noticed that our products are a little more fluid than many conventional ones and, as with everything at yilvia, there’s a good reason.
Stiffer textures, the kind you scoop from a classic cream jar, rarely have anything to do with true richness. They’re created mostly by texture‑builders such as fatty alcohols or thickeners.
Why do we deliberately leave those ingredients out?
Because, as so often, they offer no real benefit to the skin. On the contrary: they can sit heavily on the surface and, above all, they lock up the product’s precious water. That means the skin doesn’t get immediate access to free water.
But our skin loves free water, and you can feel that from the very first application of a yilvia formula.
Fragrance
We followed extremely strict criteria when composing our scents. If a yilvia product is scented at all, it is only with premium, certified organic essential oils used at a very low concentration, about 0.05 %. Facial‑care products, in principle, are never “perfumed.” In them, essential oils appear, if at all, solely as active ingredients chosen for their positive skin effects and they are exceptionally well tolerated.
Many popular notes, such as the various citrus oils, don’t make the cut because they fail my standards for stability and compatibility.
Heavenly fragrances, like the one in our Body Milk (I’m a tiny bit less strict with body care 😉) are blended by me personally, with great care. I never use ready-made fragrance blends, because I cannot track their exact composition or origin.
Color
Pure white is yesterday’s news. Whether it’s the vibrant orange of Phytolipids No. 1 or the fresh green of Phytolipids No. 2, potent plant extracts and native, unrefined oils lend these hues naturally. They’re visible proof of the high concentration of active ingredients in every yilvia product.
